Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island off Dubai’s coast, shaped like a palm tree: a trunk, 17 fronds and a crescent-shaped breakwater around them. Work began in 2001 and the first residents moved in in 2007.
Where you stay decides the trip. The crescent is resort country: Atlantis The Royal, One&Only, Raffles and Waldorf Astoria each have their own beach and feel far from the city. The trunk is livelier, with Palm Jumeirah Mall, The View at The Palm and the beach clubs of Palm West Beach within walking distance.
Every hotel on this page is on the Palm itself: we checked each one’s location, and left out the Dubai Marina and JBR hotels that other sites list under “Palm Jumeirah”.
